Special weather statement for Coquihalla & Connector – October 28/21

Environment Canada is warning of a southwesterly flow bringing snow near the Coquihalla Summit this morning. The snow will be mainly near the summit with rain persisting at lower elevations along the route.
Rising freezing levels later this morning will result in the snow changing to rain. Heavy rain will continue through this evening before easing.
Where : Coquihalla, Merritt to Hope
When : Now through this evening
Snowfall – 5 to 10 cm
Rainfall – 30 to 50 mm

Environment Canada is calling for heavy snow this morning on the Connector between Merritt and Kelowna.
Snowfall – 10 to 15 cm
