UPDATE – Power has now been restored.
BC Hydro is onsite following a motor vehicle accident along highway 5a early this morning.
The company states the power is off for 871 customers north of Merritt around both Nicola and Douglas Lakes.
Crews have been on-site for a number of hours and expect to have power restored around 9:00 am (Updated).
