Covid Numbers Drop in the Province; Nine Deaths in B.C.

B.C. is reporting 580 new cases of COVID-19, including 11 epi-linked cases, for a total of 195,766 cases in the province.

There are 5,348 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and of the active cases, 378 individuals are in hospital and 153 are in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.

Here in the Interior Health Region 104 new cases were reported There are currently 831 cases in Interior Health which included Merritt and surrounding area.

The province also announced nine new deaths over the past 24 hours including five here in the Interior Health Region. That brings the COVID-19 death toll to 2042 in the province.
