After failing to make the cut two weeks ago at the Fortinet Championship, Merritt’s Roger Sloan rebounded quickly to finish in a tie for 14th spot at the Sanderson Farms Championship over the weekend.
Sloan finished at 17-under, five strokes back of winner Sam Burns. The Merrittonain was the top Canadian in the field beating out Corey Conners by a single shot.
Sloan was consistent all weekend long shooting rounds of 6-under (66), 5-under (67), 4-under (68), and 2-under (70). Most impressive was his ability to limit bogeys, carding just four all weekend long.
For is work Sloan earned $127,750, his first pay day of the new season.
