Merritt records 21 new COVID-19 cases

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released the latest local health area COVID-19 data, covering the week of September 12-18.
The Merritt area recorded 21 new cases of the virus, almost double the 11 cases seen the week prior. Twenty-one cases is also the exact same number from three weeks ago.
The Kamloops area registered a sizable decrease from 270 down to 158 cases this week.
Central Okanagan (Kelowna) saw 257 new cases – a decrease of 103 and an average daily rate per 100,000 population less than 20. It’s the first time Central Okanagan hasn’t seen red since July 18 to 24.
