Large turnout for advanced polls in Central Okanagan Similkameen Nicola

Advanced polls were open for four days over the past weekend across Canada, and according to preliminary numbers, turnout was up 18.46% from the 2019 vote.

Chief Electoral Officer Stephane Perrault reporting an estimated 5,780,000 electors cast a vote during the advanced polls.

In Central Okanagan Similkameen Nicola, 25,953 voters are reported as taking advantage of the early polls, a substantial jump from the 20,469 that advanced voted in 2019.

In 2019, a total of 64,935 votes were counted representing 69.28% voter turnout in the riding.

For those who didn’t take part in the advanced polls, election day in Monday, September 20^th. Polls will be open from 7am-7pm.
