KAMLOOPS — Interior Health (IH), in partnership with school districts throughout the region, says it will provide at-school COVID-19 immunization clinics.
All age-eligible students 12 and older, teachers, and staff can walk-up, register, and receive their first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. People are eligible for their second dose 28 days after receiving their first dose.
The clinics will occur throughout September as students get back to school. Schools will promote their clinics locally and IH will regularly update the immunization clinic page as new clinics are confirmed.
People can also get their first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by dropping into an immunization clinic or making an appointment.
As of Aug. 31, the B.C. Centre for Disease Control says 73 per cent of eligible residents 12 and older in the Kamloops Local Health Authority are fully vaccinated.
