KAMLOOPS — United Way B.C. (UWBC) says applications are now open for agencies and organizations helping with wildfire relief.
In early July, UWBC re-launched its United For BC Wildfire Recovery Fund to help displaced residents with immediate needs, and to support non-profit agencies in affected regions as they look to rebuild supports necessary for recovery.
UWBC launched the campaign with an initial $200,000 investment and asks the public to contribute.
United Ways across B.C. previously raised more than $170,000 to support the recovery and rebuilding of those affected by the 2017 provincial state of emergency.
Information on how to apply for relief, or donate, is online.
