Zero new cases in Merritt as COVID spikes in Central Okanagan

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released the latest local heath area COVID-19 data covering the week of July 25 – 31, reporting zero new cases in the Merritt area.
This is the fourth straight week with no new cases for Merritt.
Cases in Kamloops decreased slightly this week with 26, compared to 29 the previous week.
The Central Okanagan, which includes the Kelowna area, saw cases nearly triple for the second straight week. The CDC reporting 450 new cases up from 153 a week ago.
