BC Wildfire Service confirms spot blaze on Hamilton Hill

The BC Wildfire Service has confirmed that a small spot blaze East of Merritt has grown to 0.30 hectares.

The blaze is listed at Hamilton Hill and is believed to be caused by human activity.

The Merritt Fire Department was called out to the fire on Monday afternoon, BC Wildfire Services was then called to assist.

As of Tuesday morning, the fire is still listed as ‘New’ and active.
