Merritt Central Elementary CLOSED Tuesday

Due to the air conditioning unit being out of service at Merritt Central Elementary, the school will be CLOSED on Tuesday (June 29).

Students will be beginning their summer vacations one day early, however staff will be on hand until 10:00 am to help students pick up their year end items.

“This is never an easy decision; however, the health and safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. We wish you all the best for the summer and look forward to having everyone back in session in September,” said Superintendent Steve McNiven.

The other schools in the district will remain OPEN today, however bus service was previously cancelled due to the extreme heat.
