Road closures expected this week to allow for street light replacement

Roads throughout the City of Merritt will see temporary closures this week to allow for a contractor to replace the street lights.

During the replacements the streets will be reduced to single-lane alternating traffic for between 15-25 minutes.

The work is scheduled to be completed between Monday June 21, and Thursday June 24.

Work will be done at the following locations;

Douglas Street between Granite Ave and Houston St- 12 Lights to change

Nicola Ave between Douglas St and May St.- 11 Lights

Nicola Ave between Cleasby St. and Quilchena Ave-8 Lights

Voght St between Nicola Ave and Maxwell Ave- 12 Lights

Voght St between Maxwell Ave and Hwy 5/ Hwy 5a Crossing- 40 Lights

River Ranch Rd between Voght St. and Spring bank Ave- 11 lights

Walter St- 1 span south of Reid Court- 1 light
