Centennials to begin season at home against pod nemesis Prince George October 8, 2021

The BCHL has released the regular season schedule for 2021-22.

The Merritt Centennials will begin their campaign at home against their pod nemesis, the Prince Goerge Spruce Kings, on October 8, 2021.

The Cents faced PG 10 times in pod action this year winning just once. Merritt will see Prince George four times in their first five games of the season.

Merritt will play again the next day, Oct. 9, at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena versus Salmon Arm to conclude the first weekend of the season.

Some key dates from around the league;

Sep. 17 – Opening of BCHL training camps
Oct. 20-24 – BCHL Showcase
Feb. 19-20 – BCHL Road Show
Mar. 25 – BCHL Playoffs begin

The 2021 season will see the return of the Wenatchee Wild and Langley Rivermen who did not participate in the pod season. The Cents will also face the expansion Cranbrook Bucks for the first time in regular season action.
