Merritt records five COVID-19 cases in final week of May

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released the latest local health area COVID-19 data covering the week of May 23-29.
The Merritt area recorded five new cases of the virus, the most cases in a month. The Merritt area has been able to keep case increases in the single digits for the past eight weeks now.
There were 20 cases in Kamloops for the week. That’s down from 22 the previous week.
Case totals were steady for most of Interior Health last week – with the exception of Vernon, which saw a big jump in cases from 16 to 57.

- North Thompson – 0 (down by 1)
- 100 Mile House – 0 (unchanged)
- South Cariboo – 0 (unchanged)
- Lillooet – 0 (down by 2)
- Vernon – 57 (up by 41)
- Armstrong-Spallumcheen – 6 (up by 4)
- Enderby – 1 (unchanged)
- Salmon Arm — 0 (down by 6)
- Revelstoke – 1 (up by 1)
- Central Okanagan-Kelowna — 175 (down by 49)
