Kamloops residential school survivor Chief McLeod ‘We always knew that this was happening’
The Chief of the Upper Nicola Band attended the Kamloops residential school for two years, 1966-68, as did both his parents, and his eight siblings. On Thursday (May 27), a heart-wrenching discovery was made on the grounds of that very school as the remains of 215 children were found buried on the site, some potentially as young as three.
BC announces four-step restart plan
The BC Government has announced how the province will slowly transition out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
SD58 confirms COVID exposure at Merritt Secondary
School District 58 Nicola Similkameen has confirmed a COVID-19 exposure at Merritt Secondary.
The exposure is stated to have occurred on May 18, and 19.
Development at 3350 Voght Street headed to public hearing
The proposed development at 3350 Voght Street (Voght and Grimmett) is headed back to a public hearing after City Council approved first and second reading of a zoning bylaw amendment.
