Coldwater River fire under control

The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that the small spot blaze along the Coldwater River is now ‘under control’.
The blaze located approximately 15 kilometres south of town is suspected to have been human caused. The fire grew to 0.30 hectares.
There are currently seven active fires in the Kamloops Fire Centre, five of which are listed as under control or contained.
There have been 211 wildfires in BC so far this year.
