Hollywood returns to Merritt

A pair of road closures are in effect for the next three days, as a film crew invades Merritt.
Both Airport Road and Hamilton Hill will see closures from Monday till Wednesday.
Where: Hamilton Hill
When: May 3, 4 & 5, 2021 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Where: Various locations along Airport Road
When: May 3 and 4, 2021 between 7:00 AM and noon
The roads are being closed to allow for filming in the area.
The City of Merritt has confirmed that the TV show “The Good Doctor” is filming in town.
“The City of Merritt works closely with the Thompson Nicola Film Commission to actively promote filming in the beautiful Nicola Valley. When a film company works in the community, employees staff in the local hotels, eat at local restaurants and utilize the services of local businesses. The film industry plays an important part in the local economy, and the City of Merritt is pleased to see an increase of filming in Merritt,” said Economic Development and Tourism Manager Will George.
