Truck driver dies in Monday afternoon crash on Coquihalla

LOGAN LAKE, B.C. — RCMP have confirmed a commercial truck driver died in a crash on the Coquihalla Highway between Kamloops and Merritt Monday afternoon (Apr. 26).

Information is limited, but the crash took place between two commercial trucks, both travelling in the southbound lane near Surrey-Sussex Lake Road.

Cpl. Mike Halskov of B.C. RCMP Traffic Services says initial investigation indicates one truck rear-ended the other. The driver of the trailing truck was killed.

Logan Lake RCMP are investigating, and more information is expected to be released later in the day Tuesday.
