Merritt records seven new COVID-19 cases

Merritt’s ‘yo-yo’ like tendencies have finally come to an end, as the BC CDC is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 in the Merritt Health Area for the week of April 4-10.
This is the first time in over a month that the area has seen back to back weeks with only single digit cases.
This week follows case counts of six, 22, six, 15, and five over the past five weeks.
For comparison, Kamloops registered 96 new cases, Kelowna saw 288.
- Cariboo/Chilcotin – 1 (unchanged from last week)
- North Thompson – 1 (up by 1)
- 100 Mile House – 0 (down by 1)
- South Cariboo – 1 (unchanged)
- Lillooet – 0 (unchanged)
- Vernon – 56 (up by 23)
- Armstrong-Spallumcheen – 6 (up by 2)
- Enderby – 2 (down by 9)
- Salmon Arm — 13 (up by 2)
- Revelstoke – 21 (down by 4)
- Central Okanagan-Kelowna — 288 (up by 74)
