Snowfall warning for Coquihalla – April 8, 2021

Snowfall warning in effect for:

• Coquihalla Highway – Hope to Merritt

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

An active frontal system is sliding down the BC Coast and will impact the south coast tomorrow morning.

With an ideal southwesterly flow, ample moisture and relatively low snow levels, the Coquihalla Summit is expected to get snow, heavy at times, starting mid Friday morning and continuing into Friday night.

Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 20 cm are expected.
