Over the past four weeks the Merritt Health area has recorded two weeks of single digit COVID-19 cases and two double-digit weeks.
The BC Centre for Disease Control has released the latest data covering the week of March 21-27, announcing 22 new cases of the virus in our area.
That follows weeks of six, 15, and five over the past month as the region continues to see the numbers jump around.
For comparison, this week the Kamloops area saw just 30 new cases, Kelowna registered 141.
Since the beginning of 2021 there has now been at least 199 confirmed cases in the Merritt area.
