Merritt’s PGA Tour Pro Roger Sloan completed a solid weekend at the Honda Classic, finishing in a tie for 25th place.
Sloan finished the tournament at 2-under par, after carding rounds of 71 (+1), 69 (-1), 66 (-4), and 72 (+2).
For his efforts the Merrittonain earned $54,950 and crucially moved up eight spots in the FedEx Cup rankings to 122. The top 125 at the end of the season will earn a spot in the playoffs and secure a tour card for the following season.
Sloan has been trending in the right direction in recent months, making back to back weekend cuts, and four of five.
So far this year, Sloan has earned $282,860 through 12 events on Tour, making seven cuts and missing five.
