Florentine COVID-19 outbreak remains active but not growing

The Interior Health Authority (IH) has confirmed that the COVID-19 outbreak at the Florentine in Merritt remains active.

IH has identified two positive cases of the virus in the assisted living facility, both cases in residents not staff.

On Monday (March 15), the Florentine posted an update on their situation to Facebook, stating that four people within the facility are currently in isolation.

The Health Authority will only declare a facility outbreak over when all cases have been resolved.
