The BC Hockey League will play a shortened 2021 regular season.
After months of discussions with the Public Health Office the BCHL announced this morning via twitter “We’re Back”.
An statement from the league confirmed that the season will be played in multiple regional ‘pods’ or hub cities consisting of three or four teams. The five pods will be located in Penticton, Coquitlam, Chilliwack, Vernon and Port Alberni.
A full schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
Players will be forced to isolate for a minimum of two weeks before the season can begin, pushing the start of play to early April.
