Merritt records 19 COVID cases in final week of February

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released their latest COVID-19 figures for the Merritt area showing a small increase for the week of February 21-27, 2021.
Following the lowest case count in months with 12, the weekly case count jumped back up to 19 last week.
Throughout the month of February, the CDC has now reported 87 cases, since the beginning of 2021, there has now been 151 positives.
In all of 2020, there was just 39 cases in our region.
For comparison, last week the Kamloops area saw 124, Kelowna registered 42.
