A record 30 COVID-19 cases confirmed last week in Merritt

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released the latest Merritt specific COVID-19 data, announcing a weekly record of 30 new cases of the virus.
The latest cases come from the week of January 31 to February 6, 2021.
The newest cases follow the current trend in Merritt which has now seen three consecutive record breaking weeks.
So far in 2021, the Merritt area has now recorded 94 cases of the virus, more than double the 39 recorded in all of 2020.
For comparison, the Kamloops area saw 161 and Kelowna registered 76.
