This morning Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix will inform British Columbians if restrictions on social gatherings will be extended.
The current orders restricting gatherings, events, sports activity, and more are set to expire this evening at midnight.
The restrictions were originally put in place back in November 2020.
When the orders were extended back in January, the province had 6,349 active cases of COVID-19 with 372 people in hospital and 74 in the ICU.
As of Thursday (Feb 4), BC was reporting 4,447 active cases with 257 people in hospital and 76 in the ICU.
Today’s announcement is expected from Dr. Henry at 10:30 am.
