Snowfall warning issued for Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton
Motorists traveling Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton will experience challenging weather conditions overnight and into Monday morning.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning, predicting 15 to 20 cm of snow, which is expected to cause hazardous driving conditions.
Environment Canada added that a convective system will bring periods of snow overnight and on Monday.
According to its website, snowfall is expected to intensify early Monday morning, with heavy bands of snow causing reduced visibility and rapid snow accumulation. It also suggests that the snowfall totals could exceed 15-20 cm locally, and will mainly impact communities at or above 700 metres of elevation.
In the city on Sunday evening, a few flurries are expected, but no significant snowfall is expected.
