GoFundMe page set up for children of victim of assault

Nicola Valley residents are showing their support for the children of a woman who was killed on Tuesday after an assault in the city.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the six children of Pamela Jarvis, with more than $43,000 being raised already for the children.

Donation boxes have been placed throughout the region, with fundraisers also being planned for the family.

Jarvis died in the hospital after being transported by B.C. Emergency Health following the assault.

Her spouse, 49-year-old Christopher Bernard Jarvis, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the assault and remains in custody.
