Motorists are being encouraged to use caution when heading out onto the highways this morning as Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for area roads today.
A couple centimetres of wet snow are possible early this morning as a cold front tracks across the BC interior. Roads may become slippery due to wet snow or slush.
The Special weather statement has been issued for the Coquihalla from Merritt to Hope, the Connector from Merritt to Kelowna, Highway 3 from Merritt to Princeton via the Allison Pass and the TransCanada from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass
Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.
