ER Closed at Nicola Valley Hospital for Second Time in 2025

Interior Health advises Merritt and area residents that for the second time in 2025 the emergency department has been closed at are advised of temporary changes to emergency department at the Nicola Valley Hospital.

Emergency room services were closed at 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening and will remain closed until Monday morning until 7 am.

All other inpatient services will continue as normal at Nicola Valley Hospital however anyone needing care can access it at the  Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops during this time.

The emergency room was also closed on Feb. 8, as well.
