Serfas, Ruff off to BCHC Top Prospects Showcase in Langley

Two members of the Merritt Centennials will represent the team and the KIJHL at the third annual British Columbia Hockey Conference Top Prospects game coming Tuesday, November 19th at the George Preston Recreation Centre in Langley.
Defenceman Rhett Serfas and forward Dylan Ruff will suit up for the KIJHL as they square off against the Pacific Junior Hockey League all stars in the event that includes a team practice, participation in the WHL Testing Combine and an event banquet .
Serfas who has one goal in six games before being injured in early October with broken fingers. It’s not yet known if the Kelowna Rockets (WHL) draft pick will be healthy enough to return in time for the prospects game.
Winger Dylan Ruff, a Victoria Royal (WHL) draft pick has two goals and three assists in 13 games for the Centennials so far this season and has been an impact player when he has been in the line-up.
The 2024 BCHC Top Prospects Game will face off at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 19th and will be broadcast on Flo Hockey.
Meanwhile, Cents goaltender Andrew Krakora has been named the KIJHL goaltender of the month for October. The Pittsburgh, Pa. born standout won four straight games from Oct.11 to 22nd, registering back to back shutouts against Golden (8-0 Oct. 18) and Chase (2-0 Oct. 19).
Krakora was named the KIJHL top goalie for the week ending Oct. 20 and is 6-2-2 on the season with a .936 save percentage that ranks third in the KIJHL and a 2.03 goals against average, which is also third best in the KIJHL.
