Traffic Light Repair & Delays

The City of Merritt reminding residents that the traffic light at River Ranch Road and Voght Street has been experiencing issues.

A maintenance technician has advised that wiring issues and a possible camera failure on one leg of the detection was causing the light to intermittently alter the signals. This traffic light needs to be repaired and the City is currently seeking pricing for corrective action.

In the meantime, the vehicle detection sensors on this traffic light have been temporarily disconnected. This means that the signals will not detect vehicles and will cycle through the maximum timing parameters causing extended wait times.
