Another busy weekend in the Nicola Valley

No shortage of events this warm hot weekend here in the Nicola Valley and it starts tonight as the Merritt and District Chamber of Commerce host their third Friday Night Market in downtown Merritt.

Your favorite vendors will again display their wares ranging from clothing, baked goods, crafts, local meats, local produce and more.

With today’s high expected to be 33-celsius, Laurie Turmel of the Chamber reminds visitors and vendors to make sure you are protected from the heat. The Friday Night Market runs tonight from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

 

On Saturday and Sunday, the Nicola Valley Rodeo Grounds will host the Under The Sun Cow Horse Show. The event is hosted by the Canadian Coast-Reined Cow Horse Association which promotes and preserves the sport of reined cow horse in Western Canada.

As a special attraction on Saturday night includes the Cowboy Classic, featuring local cowboys and ranches.

All events are free to watch, so come cheer on your local horsemen and women.
