Mascot design contest deadline extended to August 1

The deadline has been extended  for entries for the new City of Merritt mascot contest.

The City is looking for talented individuals to create a new mascot that will represent the spirit, diversity and unity of Merritt.

The deadline for the submissions was July 1, however the deadline is now August 1.

All entries must be original, wearing clothes and include Merritt city colors of yellow/gold and green and is open to all residents, students, and members of local organizations within our community and surrounding areas.

There will be exciting prizes for the top three designs.
