Area residents are cleaning up from yesterdays high winds that caused multiple power outages and scattered debris throughout the Nicola Valley on Tuesday.
A Pacific frontal system is moved through the region yesterday causing downed power lines and toppling trees behind winds of between 70 km/h and 90 km/h.
BC Hydro is reporting that power had been restored to most area residents as of Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, there’s work happening on the Connector today (Wednesday June 12) so watch for work crews and some possible delays around the Aspen Grove interchange.
BC Hydro will be doing electrical maintenance in the area and power will be off.
The work should be happening until 4:30 p.m.
