Merritt Centennials Jaxson Murray and Charles Thomas Larochelle named BCHL Stars of the Week

MERRITT โ Two veterans in their last season of junior hockey ended the regular season with a bang.
Jaxson Murray was named second star of the week while Charles-Thomas Larochelle got an honorable mention.
Murray tied for the league lead last week with three goals and five points, helping the Centennials to back-to-back wins.
The 20-year-old had a career-best four-point outing in Fridayโs 8-4 home victory over the Cranbrook Bucks.

Murray registered a goal and an assist in the opening frame, then added another marker in the middle frame and a second assist in the third period. He was named first star of the game.
The following night, Murray potted his 20th goal of the year in Merrittโs final regular-season game, a 4-1 win against the Prince George Spruce Kings.
The St. Clements, Ont. product finishes the campaign as the Centennials leading goal scorer and their second-leading point producer with 42 in 40 contests. His 22 assists were also second on the team.

Charles Thomas Larochelle went into the playoffs on an absolute heater.
A 10 game point streak with 8 goals and 4 assists, 12 points along that span.
He also had 7 goals during his 5 game goal scoring streak. The 21 year old is ready to end his junior career on a high note in his last playoff push.
The Centennials head to Salmon Arm for Games One (Friday, April 5th, 7 p.m.) and Game Two (Saturday, April 6th, 6 p.m.)
Merrittโs home games are set for Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday April, 10th and if required Saturday, April 13th for a Game 6.
