Traditional Territory of the Cowichan peoples / DUNCAN – Grants are available for indigenous youth looking to get involved in physical activity and sport but may face challenges preventing them. Obstacles that are either financial or simply from a lack of organized opportunities.
In collaboration with the Province of British Columbia, the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (I·SPARC) is open for applications with the RISE Organizational Grants.
The Grant was made to provide support for communities and not-for-profit organizations trying to get more youth involved in sports, physical activity, recreation, and cultural activities for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Children and Youth in Care (CYIC.)
It’s been created to tackle the adversity that often comes with trying to get everyone participating.
Organizations are eligible to apply for a grant up to $10,000.
