Drive-by shooter and 712 gang member convicted in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE — Charges have been laid after a drive by shooting in Williams Lake.
In a news release it was stated that on January 10th 2024, Trevor Lyndon Alexis pled guilty to multiple charges in Prince George Law Courts.
the public alerted the Williams Lake RCMP on July 28th 2022, that a person in a newer Dodge Ram had shot at a Dodge Challenger in downtown Williams Lake.
The driver of the Dodge Challenger was able to speed away from the suspect in the Dodge Ram.
With the assistance of the public, officers identified the suspect as Trevor Alexis.
The violence has been part of a string of shootings involving rival gangs in the Williams Lake area.
Additional search warrants were later executed that led to Alexis being the shooter and that he was involved with the 712 gang in the Cariboo Region.
This shooting took place less than a month after the 2022 Williams Lake Stampede shooting, were two victims were shot.
The shooter in the 2022 Williams Lake Stampede incident, Jordell Sellars, was recently sentenced to nine years in jail, he was a former member of the Indian Outlawz, a gang rivalling the 712 gang.
