MERRITT โ The Centennials were at Walmart this week to help locals help a local child in need for Christmas.
The franchise collaborated with the Nicola Valley Food Bank to help make sure everyone gets to enjoy a gift from Santa.
There were ornaments available with a childโs age and hobbies so Merrittonians could get them a gift, and the players even wrapped the gifts themselves, to the best of their abilities of course.
The charity event ran every evening from December 11th to December 15th this week at Walmart.
To everyone who was involved they helped bring Christmas to a local child in need.

The Centennials play their final home game before the Christmas break this Saturday, December 16th against the Nanaimo Clippers 7 p.m. at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.
They are back in action December 29th in Surrey to face the Coastal Conference leading Eagles.
The Surrey Eagles have struggled against Interior teams while Merritt has had success against the Coast going 3-1-2, with points in 5 of 6 games. Nanaimo is the highest scoring team in the BCHL so the boys in red and white will have their hands full.
