Merritt Civic Centre and Nicola Valley Aquatic Centre set to ring in the New Year

MERRITT — There will be a New Year’s Eve Celebration set for Sunday, December 31st, 2023 at the Merritt Civic Centre.

This event is for the whole family to enjoy, kick off the afternoon with a family swim and then venture into the early evening with dancing and a balloon drop while ringing in the New Year. The family swim will take place at the Nicola Valley Aquatic Centre from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is free so anyone is invited to take part in the swim free of charge.

Then Merrittonians are encouraged to celebrate the new year at this early evening New Year’s Eve dance. DJ Dane will be hosting the dance, so make sure to bring your best moves. There will be a photo booth and concession to enjoy throughout the evening. Prizes will also be won following a ceremonial balloon drop.

Tickets for the event are five dollars per family, kids under 5 can attend for free.

Tickets are available at the Merritt Civic Centre or Nicola Valley Aquatic Centre and will go on sale December 4th.
