Science fair season throughout the Nicola Valley

MERRITT – Schools throughout the Nicola Valley are displaying their young geniuses within the schools during science fairs.

Yesterday (March 1), both Nicola Canford Elementary school and Diamond Vale Elementary school put on science fairs for their students.

Projects included, lava lamps, solar energy, coated candy, space, germs, and the classic volcano, among many others.

Nicola Canford’s fair had overwhelming support from Prep Teacher, Heidi Dreger, who help assist 74 students complete their projects.

For Diamond Vale, there were six winners that will now be heading to the Regional Science Fair at Thompson River University (TRU) in April.
