Garlic Festival returning to the Lower Nicola
MERRITT – After a couple of years off due to the COVID pandemic, the Garlic Festival is finally returning to the area.
“This is the biggest event that happens every year in our community,” said Karen Knapp
Karen Knapp, with the Garlic Festival, says they are very excited to have all the fun activities returning to the Lower Nicola for the Garlic Festival this year.
Among those fun activities residents can take part in include: 40 plus vendors, car club, illusionist, live music, and lots of raffle prizes.
Knapp said this years raffle prizes are above and beyond thanks to the amazing support and donations from local businesses.
One thing Knapp said hasn’t changed since the last time they had the Garlic Festival in person is the hard working volunteers.
“Without them, this festival would not happen.”
The Garlic Festival takes place at Smith Pioneer Park, 447 Aberdeen Rd, on September 24-25 between 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m..
