Dense fog covering the Coquihalla Summit Monday morning

MERRITT โ Drivers on the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt Monday (May 30) morning are asked to be prepared to travel through areas with near-zero visibility.
โDense fog is occurring with visibility at times near zero near the Coquihalla Summit this morning,โ said Environment Canada. โThe fog is forecast to stay for at least two more hours and possibly as late as noon before visibility improves.โ
In a special weather statement issued by Environment Canada, Drivers could expect visibility of less than 500 metres.
โIf visibility is reduced, drivers are asked to turn on their lights and maintain a safe following distance.โ
