Recovery information session Thursday at 5:30

The City of Merritt will be hosting another recovery information session regarding the work being done to prepare the city for spring freshet and continued efforts to clean up the city and help residents.

Tonight’s (Mar. 3) meeting is scheduled for 5:30 and will be streamed live on YouTube as speakers will be joining from various places in B.C. Anybody wanting to ask a question should email returnhome@merritt.ca.

“People will get a chance to hear about what is going on, how the river is getting cleaned up, how we’re fixing the parks, how we are moving along with some of the housing and definetly how people can get more assistance at the support centre,” said Recovery Manager Greg Solecki.

“It’s to get the feedback from the community so we can progress in the best possible way,” added Solecki.

Along with city officials, representatives of the Red Cross will also be on hand.
