Bluey Lake wildfire now being held

The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that the Bluey Lake wildfire East of Merritt is now being held.
The fire was first reported on Thursday (July 15), and was able to grow to 15 hectares.
The suspected cause of the fire is listed as unknown.
The July Mountain wildfire remains at 400 hectares this afternoon. The fire is suspected to have been caused by lightning.
The Brenda Creek wildfire is now being estimated at 450 hectares, a small decrease from this morning. Today 40 firefighters, two helicopters and 11 pieces of heavy equipment are on site.
There is currently 300 active fires in BC, 116 are within the Kamloops Fire Centre.
