The Merritt Centennials will be making a presentation to City Council on Tuesday (June 22), to propose expanding liquor service throughout the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.
Currently, the Cents only offer liquor service in a small beer garden located in the corner of the rink. All other BCHL teams have open liquor seating and that is what the organization is hoping to start this season.
In the club’s presentation the open liquor seating would be conducted on a month by month trail basis.
The team will present their idea to Council, looking for support in seeking the new liquor licence.
