Two in hospital after chase and shots fired Sunday evening
Once the shooting subsided two individuals were located inside the suspect truck, an adult and a child believed to be under 12, both were taken to hospital. No other injuries have been reported.
Fort St. John resident charged with five counts of attempted murder in Merritt shooting
On June 7, the BC Prosecution Service approved charges against 46-year-old Gerald Cooper of Fort St. John. Cooper has been charged with five counts of attempted murder with a firearm and one count of flight from police.

Merritt vaccine clinic adds drop-in hours for first doses
In Merritt drop-in hours will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 pm.
