Small fire sparks along Coldwater River

The BC Wildfire Service is reporting that a small spot blaze has sparked along the Coldwater River south of Merritt.
The fire is approximately 15 kilometres south of town along the River.
The Wildfire Service estimates the blaze at 0.30 hectares this morning, however the fire is not yet contained.
The fire is believed to have been human caused.
There are currently seven active fires in the Kamloops Fire Centre, four of which are being contained.
Province-wide there has been 212 fire so far this year.
