Roger Sloan had a wild weekend at the Wells Fargo Championship.
It all started for Sloan with a bad opening round on Thursday which saw the Merrittonain shoot a +5 (76). Sloan would follow that performance up with the round of the weekend, a -7 (64), which thrusted Sloan into the top-20 at the event.
The weekend brought more troubles for the PGA Pro with Sloan firing a +1 (72) on Saturday and a +6 (77) on Sunday to finish the event at +5 tied for 58th place.
Despite the rough weekend, Sloan’s brilliant round on Friday allowed him to move up one spot in the FedEx Cup standing to 143. Sloan needs to reach the top-125 to make the playoffs and secure a tour card for next season.
Sloan earned $18,063 for his work.
